On tour, we meet all kinds of wonderful people in the military and often hear great stories of heroism and sacrifice. Those stories inspire us and led us to embark on the OPERATION ROCK Tour, which was in dedication to our incredible men and women of the Armed Forces. On our OPERATION ROCK stop at The PowerStation in Macon, Georgia, we met Danielle, who captured our heart. She was set to deploy to Iraq, and we talked about all the men and women sacrificing – leaving their loved ones behind for a purpose far greater than any one person. Danielle is a pilot and is a frequent flier of the not-so-friendly skies over Iraq. She and her fellow military friends at the concert were touched that Hydrovibe was honoring them that night, and she was inspired to fly a United States flag in Hydrovibe’s honor during her next Iraq mission, which she carried out on December 25, 2007.
We caught up with Danielle again this month at our show at The PowerStation, and she presented us the flag she flew over Iraq in our honor and a certificate stating the authenticity. I can’t express how I felt when I looked on the vivid blue with white stars on that flag! To me, it represents every single person who ever took a stand for freedom and has made sacrifices that afford the rest of us the high quality of life we are accustomed to. We all are very humbled and honored to have had this flag flown over Iraq and presented to us. Thank you, Danielle!
