One of the best things about touring is meeting cool people along the way. Last year at our Hooligans show in Jacksonville, North Carolina with Saint Diablo, we met and quickly fell in love with a very special local family, the Mundorfs. They took Hydrovibe in and extended us their renowned generosity and hospitality that night, and we have grown quite close since. They are an amazing family of seven that I’m very proud to call my friends.
The Mundorfs are widely known for amazing support of touring bands – opening their home to musicians, feeding them and providing a place to relax, re-energize, and regroup while on the road. While not many people know (or would care to know) what it’s like to have 3 bands straggling into your home at 4 in the morning… Keith, Lori and the 5 Mundorf children spring into action serving up food, handing out clean towels, and entertaining us with stories of all the recent shows they’ve been to and the latest bands to join the Mundorf extended family. They are a creative, intelligent, generous and loving bunch, and we are always very eager to spend time with them when we are on tour.
This past Christmas, they were struck with a major tragedy – losing everything in a house fire. Hydrovibe and Saint Diablo joined forces to do what we could to help this family in their time of need. On March 19th, we held a benefit concert to raise money for the Mundorfs. It was truly an honor to share the stage once again with Saint Diablo for such a great cause!

(Heather / Hydrovibe and Tito / Saint Diablo at the concert)The Mundorf house has become a sort of cross-roads for touring musicians… and we’re very grateful to do our part in helping rebuild this haven they have created out of their love of music!
During the show, Kyle Mundorf made posters for his band Black Bandana (pictured below) and sold them at our merch table. He sold a bunch of them too! Thank you very much to all of you who paid admission, purchased Black Bandana posters, and made contributions to the Mundorf donation jar at our table… all proceeds went directly to the Mundorf family. Your support is much needed and highly appreciated!

Many thanks to the guys in Saint Diablo for their assistance with putting this show together and to Hooligans for hosting the event. See y’all in Jacksonville soon!
xx St. Heather
