The title track to our album “Nothing Left To Lose” will be featured on MTV’s “Real World Challenge: Fresh Meat 2″ tomorrow night at 10PM.  Y’all be sure to tune in to catch that – they’re even giving us an on-screen credit.  EXCITING!  Many thanks to the folks at MTV for the love.

By the way, we are going to be offering the Japanese Import version of “Nothing Left To Lose” at the HYDROVIBE STORE soon for only $15 (sold in Japan for $25USD).  This CD will have all the great additional artwork, lyrics (both English and Japanese), inserts, and packaging that the Japanese imports traditionally entail, and it will include the Japanese bonus track (which is “Killer Inside”).  If you are interested in purchasing one of the import CDs, please send an email to our U.S. label at orleansstreetrecords@gmail.com letting them know.  They are placing an order with our Japanese label this week, so it would really help us know how many to ship here to the U.S.  Thank you!!!

We kicked off 2010 by signing a deal with Japanese record label SPINNING that will allow us to release “Nothing Left To Lose” in Japan on March 3rd!  We’re extremely excited!  The news of our album release has been bouncing around the top 3 ranked news articles at music retail giant HMV’s website – staying at #1 for the majority of the time for the past week and a half.  CLICK HERE to pre-order the album at HMV.

SPINNING (click here for label roster) will re-package “Nothing Left To Lose,” using existing artwork and adding a lot more artwork, liner notes, English lyrics, Japanese lyrics, CAPs, etc. for the Japanese Import version of “Nothing Left To Lose”.  The “Nothing Left To Lose” Japanese Import CD will also include “Killer Inside” as the Japanese bonus track.  These collectible “Nothing Left To Lose” Japanese Import CDs will be available in the U.S. through the Hydrovibe Store in March.  We’ll let you know as soon as we get them, but you can pre-order directly from HMV right now.

Quite a few of you have expressed interest in the album artwork.

What does it mean? Where did it come from?

Well, here’s the scoop…

I have been an artist as long as I’ve been a singer – practically all my life. And since Hydrovibe has embraced the DIY philosophy, it seemed fitting that I work with New Level Graphics to create the visual embodiment of our music.

But where to begin? Well, at the beginning, of course. When we packaged up our EP in 2006 and hit the road, we really were stepping out into the unknown. We put our lives – and our bank accounts – on the line to create this album. So, for us, the title has significant meaning – we really have NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE, and I am completely happy with this place in my life. The decision is one none of us have ever second-guessed or regretted.

So, when coming up with the composition, I wanted to capture the feelings of being on tour for the better part of two years. Sometimes, I felt happy… sometimes sad. Sometimes glamorous… most of the time pretty grungy. There’s always a physical and emotional hunger lurking around. Some nights, even though I’m surrounded by crowds of fans I felt very alone, but I always knew I had the three other Hydrovibe members to count on. The guys have become my brothers, and I depend on them. I trust them. So, the four figures on the album cover are grouped as a unit – a single entity comprised of four unique people. (For those of you who have seen me on tour – you’ll recognize me as the one with the red backpack. It’s a permanent part of who I am on tour!) These figures who are Hydrovibe are on a journey that will define not only who we are becoming… but the music we will be making for years to come.

We’ve put our hearts and our souls into this album. I hope the cover art is able to convey that passion… that dedication… that excitement of bringing Hydrovibe to you! And I hope you enjoy the music as much as we do!

You can see this is a band that know what they’re doing. And this is only the debut, let alone what they’ll be able to create after 10 years of collaboration…  Hydrovibe is a band will be big someday, without any doubt. In pretty much all aspects, they have it made. It’s new, refreshing and original. Not the standard rockband that’s usually on MTV, but a band that will be interesting for a mainstream and an alternative crowd. This is a band that I’m gonna keep my eye on!
